The Volunteer Student Team of the Faculty of Construction Economics & Management (TNKT) is very proud to be one of the volunteer student teams with the longest-standing history at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The 14-year journey of establishment and development of the Economics Volunteer Team is a long journey of dedication from the youth of many generations of students from the Faculty of Construction Economics & Management.
In the eager and joyful atmosphere of the members, the 14th birthday celebration of the Volunteer Student Team of the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management (TNKT) was organized by the Team's Leadership Board and members at 14:00 on Sunday (May 31, 2020) in Room 25H2 – H2 Building – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of MSc. Nguyen Dinh Phong – Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Construction Economics & Management; MSc. Tran Phuong Nam – Lecturer at the Department of Construction Economics, Faculty of CE&M, along with all generations of the Team's members who attended the ceremony.
The Team's birthday celebration began with a Mashup duet "Ta la cua nhau – Sau tat ca" (We Belong to Each Other – After All) performed by two K63 members, Dinh Van Chien and Nguyen Nhu Quynh. Their performance brought a deep resonance to the event and served as the perfect preparation for the explosive moments in the latter part of the program.
Traditionally, during the Team's previous birthdays, new members (from the new course) would prepare and perform the best musical items for the lecturers and senior members to enjoy. However, to add more excitement and drama to this year's birthday celebration, the Team's Leadership Board changed the program format slightly.
According to the new format, the Team organized a talent competition among the new members (K64). The Leadership Board divided the members into 03 groups to compete. The final result would be decided by direct voting from the lecturers and senior members via a "secret ballot."
Kicking off the competition was the musical play "Ong ba anh thoi Covid" (My Grandparents in the Time of Covid), performed by Group 1. The song's melody, combined with the cheerful and playful acting of the Group 1 members, conveyed a message encouraging everyone at the ceremony to raise awareness and join hands to push back the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic. This performance left many beautiful impressions on all the lecturers and senior members present at the event.
Following the program, the entire lecture hall was immersed in a flexible and graceful dance with the Mashup "Tu Tam – Giac mo trua" (Self-Heart – Midday Dream), performed by Group 2 - This performance successfully won the Third Prize overall.
And finally, the comedy play "Truyen ki ken re" (The Legendary Groom Selection) performed by Group 3. The content of the comedy tells the story of a competition to find a groom for a clumsy princess. Her Royal Father, fearing his daughter would remain single (was "on the shelf"), decided to organize a grooming contest for his daughter who was soon to be "unwanted." Usually, the prospective grooms would have to compete against each other to marry the princess. This time, however, it was the complete opposite: the clumsy princess had to perform and show all her talents, hoping the young men would choose her. Thanks to their creativity, an engaging script, and witty acting, the members of Group 3 completely won the affection of all the lecturers, senior members, and friends at the birthday event, excellently achieving the program's overall First Prize.
The dance "Non nuoc huu tinh" (Picturesque Landscapes) performed by K63 members served as the conclusion to the program. The performance was like a deep message of gratitude from all K63 members of the TNKT Team to all the lecturers and senior members who attended the 14th birthday celebration of the Volunteer Student Team of the Faculty of Construction Economics & Management.
The journey named TNKT has lasted 14 years – a number truly enviable and admirable for a student collective. Throughout these 14 years, the TNKT "home" has become a place that holds countless beautiful youthful memories that all Team members, whether still students or graduates, can never forget.
The Team's birthday celebration was also organized as an occasion for all current and former members of the Team to have a chance to meet, share old stories, and recall unforgettable memories at the beloved TNKT home.
Once again, we wish the great TNKT family will always be steadfast, united, and able to keep the passionate flame of youth burning forever through the years, never fading.
Forever love the common home TNKT! See you all at the Team's 15th Birthday Celebration!
