On the morning of November 26, 2021, the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, organized the institutional-level doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Le Van Tuan (lecturer at the Department of Construction Organization and Planning) with the dissertation topic:

“Assessment of the Efficiency of Using Coal Combustion By-products as Alternative Materials in Several Types of Construction Projects in Vietnam”
Major code: 9.58.03.02

Supervisor 1: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice Rector, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
Supervisor 2: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thanh – Department of Construction Organization and Planning.

After the opening session, the PhD candidate presented a summary of the main contents of his dissertation. The members of the evaluation committee provided feedback and posed questions to help clarify the research content. With unanimous agreement from the committee members, PhD candidate Le Van Tuan’s dissertation was approved at the institutional level. This marks an important step in the candidate’s doctoral research process. He will continue to revise the dissertation and complete the next procedures before defending it at the university level.
