On the afternoon of Wednesday (June 11, 2025), at the 2nd Floor Hall – Library Building, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), the Kick-off Event of the Sustainable Hackathon 2025 took place in an energetic and exciting atmosphere. The event attracted great attention from students both within and outside the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management, officially marking the beginning of a creative and challenging journey toward achieving the Net Zero goal for Vietnam’s construction industry.

► Sustainable Hackathon 2025 is co-organized by Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and the Sustainable Buildings Vietnam (SBVN) Program, with academic support from three major faculties: the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, and the Faculty of Environmental Engineering.
The event attracted more than 50 outstanding participants from the fields of Economics, Architecture, and Environment, along with strategic partners, mentors, lecturers, and seasoned experts who have extensive experience in developing Green Buildings and Energy-Efficient Buildings in Vietnam.

► The Kick-off Event was not only the official debut of the competing teams but also a platform to spread the competition’s core philosophy: “Interdisciplinary – Practical – Towards Net Zero.” During the event, participants had the opportunity to:

Ms. Lê Phương Anh – Director of the Sustainable Building Vietnam (SBVN) Program – shared the long-term goals and vision of the competition: to build the next generation of professionals for Vietnam’s Green Building sector. The competition not only provides valuable academic knowledge but also creates a practical environment for participants to apply their learning in a comprehensive and hands-on way.
