INTRODUCTION TO THE TRADE UNION OF THE FACULTY OF CONSTRUCTION ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

The Trade Union of the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management was established alongside the formation and development of the Faculty itself. It operates as a subordinate unit under the Trade Union of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

Over the generations, the Trade Union of the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management has grown stronger and made significant contributions to the development of both the Faculty and the University as a whole.

At present, the Faculty Trade Union consists of five professional sub-union groups with a total of 49 members. It is a strong and united organization that consistently takes the lead in activities organized by the University’s Trade Union.

Introduction to the Organizational Structure of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management (Term 2025–2030)

  • Trade union members of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management have a strong tradition of solidarity and high consensus. Despite a heavy teaching workload, they always fulfill their assigned tasks well.

  • The Executive Committee of the Faculty’s Trade Union always takes care of the members’ welfare, regularly organizing activities to celebrate national holidays and special occasions throughout the year.

  • The Executive Committee actively encourages members to participate in charitable activities launched by the Trade Union of the National University of Civil Engineering, and frequently visits members and their families during times of illness or difficulty.

  • Trade union members of the Faculty consistently maintain and strengthen external relations with state management agencies, businesses in the fields of scientific research and training (such as the Institute of Construction Economics – Ministry of Construction, the Vietnam Association of Construction Economics, etc.), as well as many other domestic and international organizations and enterprises.

  • The Executive Committee regularly innovates its trade union activities, setting work effectiveness and members’ benefits as key objectives; developing detailed annual and quarterly work plans aligned with the political tasks of the University and its Trade Union; and reviewing implementation results to promptly draw lessons and improvements.

  • The Executive Committee frequently communicates with members to promptly understand their concerns and aspirations; actively proposing and coordinating with the Faculty’s leadership to put forward solutions that ensure the rights and benefits of all employees.

Some Outstanding Achievements of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management in Recent Years:

  • Academic year 2014 – 2015: The Faculty Trade Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Education Trade Union for “Outstanding achievements in trade union activities in the academic year 2014–2015.” (Decision No. 179/QĐ-CĐN – dated August 06, 2015)

  • Academic year 2016 – 2017: The Faculty Trade Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Education Trade Union for “Outstanding achievements in trade union activities in the academic year 2016–2017.” (Decision No. 124/QĐ-CĐN – dated July 19, 2017)

  • Academic year 2016 – 2017: The Faculty Trade Union was recognized as an Outstanding Strong Trade Union Unit of the academic year 2016–2017. (Decision No. 03/QĐ-CĐ, National University of Civil Engineering – dated October 16, 2017)

  • Academic year 2017 – 2018: The Faculty Trade Union was recognized as an Outstanding Strong Trade Union Unit of the academic year 2017–2018. (Decision No. 40/QĐ-CĐ, National University of Civil Engineering – dated September 07, 2018)
