The Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF), under the VinBigData Institute, was established by Vingroup Corporation to support organizations and individuals in conducting scientific research, technology development, and innovation, aiming to create positive and sustainable impacts for Vietnam.
The program aims to support PhD holders who graduated from reputable universities abroad or recently defended their theses in Vietnam to conduct full-time postdoctoral research at research institutes or universities in Vietnam.
Applicants must meet at least one of the following conditions:
(i) Have successfully defended their doctoral thesis within the past 5 years (male) or 7 years (female) at the time of application submission;
(ii) Be under 38 years old (male) or under 40 years old (female) and already hold a PhD degree.

Applicants must standardize their academic profiles on Google Scholar or ORCID for accurate evaluation.
Applicants must be mentored by a domestic scientist who belongs to the host institution. The mentor must have at least 10 SCIE/SSCI publications, including at least 3 as first or corresponding author.
Applicants must obtain a commitment letter from a Vietnamese research organization or university agreeing to host their postdoctoral research, provide necessary facilities, and support the research implementation.

Scholarship renewal for the second year requires that the previous year’s research performance be evaluated as “Satisfactory” or “Excellent.”
Outstanding candidates may be awarded the scholarship for two consecutive years if their research results are evaluated as excellent.
