SUMMARY OF OUTSTANDING ACTIVITIES OF THE ECONOMIC ENGINEERS CLUB (EEC) IN 2020

The Economic Engineers Club (EEC) is an academic club directly managed by the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, aiming to support studies and create a healthy and beneficial environment for students to develop and discover their personal strengths.

In 2020, despite the rather complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Economic Engineers Club (EEC) made great efforts to successfully and effectively organize and implement several key activities as follows:

1/ Recruitment of Course 12 Members for the Economic Engineers Club

  • To maintain and develop the Club's activities, each specialized department of the Club selected the most outstanding candidates that best fit the criteria set and targeted by the Club.

  • To promote the Club's image to students within the faculty, the Club held meetings, exchanged ideas, and discussed effective communication methods such as organizing direct promotion sessions in lecture halls (during the time students attended in-person classes), posting promotional articles on the Facebook Fanpage "Câu lạc bộ Kỹ sư Kinh tế EEC", and so on.

2/ Organization of Outdoor Exchange Sessions with Other Academic Clubs in the University

The Economic Engineers Club (EEC), in coordination with 03 other academic clubs at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (SPEC English Club, TPE Soft Skills Club, and X50 Club), successfully organized an outdoor field trip on November 29, 2020, at Yen So Park, Hanoi.

The NUCE PICNIC field trip was organized with the massive participation of nearly 200 members from the clubs. It was an excellent opportunity for members of the 04 clubs to get to know each other, socialize, strengthen their solidarity, and exchange useful knowledge together.

3/ The 12th Birthday of the Economic Engineers Club

The Events Department, along with other members of the Economic Engineers Club, planned and prepared meticulously for the Club's 12th birthday celebration to be a great success.

Through this major event, lecturers, guests, and all Club members could look back at the 12-year development journey of the Club to draw lessons, continuously cultivate knowledge, and innovate, making the Economic Engineers academic club (EEC) grow stronger in the future.

4/ Organizing Tutoring for Subjects and Cultivating Soft Skills with Senior Members

Organizing after-hours tutoring for Club members is an activity that the Club particularly focuses on, aiming to create a learning environment and train practical skills for its members.

With abundant and engaging resources suitable for students, the Club has truly become a useful and interesting playground for students who enjoy and wish to gain practical experience.

Due to the complex development of the Covid-19 pandemic, all in-person classes in lecture halls were interrupted and switched to online learning at home to prevent the spread of the disease.

However, this did not interrupt the academic support activities for Club members. The Academic Department of the Club actively supported members in their studies through the Zoom Clouds Meeting application.

5/ Participation in the "Vươn cao xây dựng" (Soar High, Construction) Competition

"Vươn cao xây dựng" is an interesting and attractive competition organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Club members responded very actively and enthusiastically to the activity launched by the University Youth Union.

The Economic Engineers Club sent a group of its most excellent members to represent the Club in the competition with an eager and studious spirit.

6/ Outstanding Academic Achievements of Economic Engineers Club (EEC) Members

Club members achieved notable success in their academic activities, such as:

6.1/ Achieving High Results in the Excellent Student Competition in the Academic Year 2019-2020

6.2/ Achieving High Prizes in the Annual Student Scientific Research Conference Organized by the Faculty and University

Participating in scientific research topics helps students cultivate more experience; skills and techniques for software operation; skills in reading, selecting, grasping, and processing information; and effective teamwork skills, among others.

Clearly understanding these great benefits, members of the Club always actively participate in this movement and achieve high results and accomplishments.
