Master’s Program in Construction Management – November 2020 Intake

Pursuing a Master’s degree in Construction Management (with specializations in Construction Economics, Construction Project Management, and Urban Management) equips Vietnamese engineers and architects with the most up-to-date and advanced management knowledge—a trend increasingly sought after in today’s highly competitive market. Professionals can no longer rely solely on technical expertise; they also need solid knowledge in economics and management to meet the demands of the market, business leaders, and the projects they are implementing or will implement in the future.

The Master’s program in Construction Management at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering is designed to train a team of Vietnamese construction management experts with a combination of economic, managerial, and technical skills, strategic thinking, and sharp business and management acumen.


1. TRAINING FORM, DURATION, AND LOCATION

  • Form: Credit-based system

  • Duration: 18 months

  • Locations:
    – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering – Hanoi
    – Selected universities and colleges in the Northwest, Central Highlands, Southwest regions, and other localities (subject to demand and approval by the Ministry of Education and Training)


2. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and meet the following conditions:

Academic qualifications:

  • Must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in the same field or a related discipline.

  • For cases not meeting this criterion, applicants must submit certified copies of their diploma and academic transcript. Based on the transcript and additional courses listed in Appendix 1, the Faculty of Specialization and the Graduate Training Department will recommend supplementary courses for approval by the Rector.

  • Graduates of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering are not required to submit a diploma or transcript.

  • The Graduate Training Department and relevant faculties will provide and evaluate any required supplementary courses before the entrance exam.

Other requirements:

  • Must be in good health for study.

  • Must submit a complete application on time according to regulations.


3. ENTRANCE EXAM SUBJECTS

Applicants must take three subjects:

  1. Basic subject

  2. Core subject

  3. Foreign language (A2 level)


4. PROPOSED EXAM DATES

November 6–7, 2020


5. APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND CONTACT

  • Receiving application forms: From July 6, 2020

  • Registration for supplementary courses: July 6 – September 17, 2020

  • Supplementary courses: Starting September 20, 2020

  • Submitting applications: From the announcement date until October 1, 2020
